Featured in this lot is this official The State of Texas, El Paso bail bond document circa 1888; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The document features a wonderfully and professionally crafted official construction that shows The State of Texas letterhead and includes information pertaining to the bond of J. F. Meaks to pay a total of two hundred dollars for the indictment of unlawful carrying of a pistol. The bond being made available by a E.A. Warner and was approved on 14th of March, 1888. The condition of this official Bail Bond notice is well preserved with the corner showing a tear to it and some very slight browning to the page consistent with its age. The measurements of this document is 14" x 8 1/4". LO126
